All
I-Tour handicaps listed are used for I-Tour tournament purposes
only. The Individual Golf Tour does not use the
Official USGA Handicap Equation AND is not a member of the
USGA Handicap System Licensing Program
STEP 1
Each player starts off with a
beginning handicap, and your beginning handicap is established 1
of 3 ways:
o
Carry over from 2007 I-Tour
Season
o
Official USGA Handicap or GHIN
(Course/Club).
o
Submit 4-Scorecards (signed) to
the I-Tour Staff to confirm your average score. The I-Tour reserves
the right to not accept
your signed scorecards after review.
STEP 2
We input your Beginning handicap
into our system. Your beginning handicap will count as two scores
in our system, which means your first tournament will be your
third score and we will then use the following formula:
(Score - Course
Rating) * (113 / Course Slope)

STEP 3 ***New***
(Updated 3-1-08)
After our third official
I-Tour event, new members or returning members that have not
played in at least one event will NOT be eligible for
1st or 2nd place. They may only win up to 3rd place in their
first event. After they have completed "1" event, then they
will be eligible for 1st and 2nd place from that event going
forward.
