Text Box: You could not ask for better weather than we had last weekend at Southwyck Golf Club.  We had 84 I-Tour Members come out and compete.  Here is your tournament report.
 
Billy Byrd Captures His First Victory…….
If you have played in an I-Tour event than you have had the opportunity to meet Billy Byrd.  Billy is hands down one of the nicest guys on tour.  Only one problem Billy, going into Saturday Billy had never won on tour.    Seven year I-Tour member Billy Byrd captured his first victory of his career this weekend, posting a pair of Gross 86's for Net -8 for the tournament.  Byrd was one shot better than Jeff Kelly (-7) who also had an impressive showing at Southwyck.   Jose Garcia continues to play solid finishing two shots off the lead at -6.  A couple of 7 year I-Tour veterans tied for 4th place Ian Brimble and Chris Waites (-4).  Ben Bartos finished in 6th place shooting 1 under par each day.  

Stephan Gordon Claims Another Victory Sunday.......
Stephan Gordon adds another trophy to his case last weekend.  Gordon wins his 3rd Major championship in 6 years in dramatic fashion.  Standing on number 17 tee box Gordon had a one shot lead over Broc Parker.  After an impressive tee shot on 17 Parker had a tap in for Birdie and the deuce.  Gordon makes par on 17.  Gordon and Parker were all square on 18 tee box.  Both players hit the fairway, yet Parker failed to hit the green on his next shot.  Gordon's second shot landed safely on the green.  Gordon had two putts for par and Parker failed to get up and down and recorded a bogey.  Gordon posted the only under par round in Mid-Flight at -1.  Steve Garcia and Matthew Poe both tied for 3rd place with a pair of 1 over par rounds.  Josuha Ky and Larry Ramos had and impressive second round to get back into the money.  Ky finished 5th and Ramos tied for 6th place with Abel Ponce, Kelly leBlanc and Fonzi Zapata.  All at +6
 
Dan Hudson Fires Best Round on Tour in 4 Years .......
Dan Hudson turned his game up a few notches on Sunday.  Hudson fired a gross 1 under par to finish 1 under par or the tournament.  7 year member Dan Hudson was two shots better than Paul Davalos and Culley Howard (+3).  16 year old sensation Trace Libby a 0 handicapper tied for 4th place after posting a 76 on Saturday and 72 on Sunday.  Trace tied with Tommy Van and Kolby Worthy all finished at +4 for the tournament.  Tommy Homeyer finished one shot out of the money but still played well on Sunday firing am impressive 1 under par gross.

A mulligan really is not such a crime
for a few weekend guys who don't play all the time.
They need a slight edge to keep up with the rest.
