Text Box: Redstone 2-20-10 Event
Text Box: Our first event of the season last Saturday at Redstone Tournament Players Course was a success.  With cart path only, 25 tee times and 91 players, pace of play was slow. Despite slow play, the course was in great shape and all players enjoyed themselves. Here is your tournament report.

Harris Dominates Redstone, With A Smile…….
David Harris had no problem Saturday with the wind and fast Redstone greens. Harris posted a 2 under par gross, -3 net to win Flight A on Saturday. When asked about his victory Harris, simply smiled and said, " I played well." Great round David. Three strokes behind Harris was Dan Hudson posting an impressive even par round of 72. Mark Duranski finished 3rd 4 shots off the lead with a 73. Kurt Lilly finished 4th with a gross and net 74. Evertte Nini and Jeff Proctor tied for 5th place with a pair of 75's.

Scorecard Playoff Needed On Saturday.......
Deron Siner made a birdie on the number one handicap hole Saturday to capture his first I-Tour victory. Siner defeated Jose Garcia and Jimmy Fortado who both posted even par 72's. Garcia's 72 included a 2 stroke penalty for his group finishing 27 minutes behind the group in front of them. Please note that when you leave 18 green, proceed directly to the scoring table. Morgan Mohr fought hard, but finished one stroke off the lead, posting a one over par 73. Joey Zapoli and Rick Montoya shared 5th place with a pair of 75's. In a five way tie for 7th place, 6 strokes off the lead, was Steve Hammonds, Ralph Tapia, Michael Starghill, Brian Bro, and Alfred Broughton. Tapia and Starghill were also in Garica's group who received the two stroke penalty.

Nighttime Caught Up With Mid-Flight.......
Nighttime caught up with our Mid-Flight on Saturday. The last group of the day finished hole 16. All players in Mid-Flight received pars on hole 17 and 18. It's great that the I-Tour has grown so big that we had an event with 25 groups, but with a 10 am start we simply ran out of time. 7 year I-Tour veteran Casey Waller continues his streak of at least one win each season. Waller posted a 69 Saturday to defeat Jesse Newell 71 by two strokes. Even Par was the number Saturday. Four players tied for 3rd place, Matt Agosto, Morgan Hoke, Scott Holt, and Walt Wilson all posting even par 72's. Rich Robertson and Ron Skinner tied for 7th place posting one over par 73's.

There is no movement in the golf swing so difficult that
it cannot be made even more difficult
by careful study and diligent practice.
