Text Box: Wayne Savage and Leon Middleton Agree To Sudden Death………
When faced with the option of a scorecard playoff for first place Wayne Savage and Leon Middleton decided to have a sudden death playoff, in the rain. The playoff started off on the #1 handicap hole, #1 on the Creekside. Middleton crushed his tee shot, long and down the middle of the fairway, but no sweat, as Savage followed with his own tee shot right down the middle of the fairway. After a set of 2 putt pars, they continued to the 326 yard second hole. Middleton pulls out driver and was looking to hit the green in one. Savage played it conservative, choosing to hit 3 iron. After their approach shots Middleton laid 35 feet from the hole, and Savage, an impressive 5 1/2 feet from the hole. Middleton’s putt hit the hole but did not go in, and Savage closed the deal, hitting the back of the cup for the win. Tony Gutierrez (70) finished 3rd, one shot behind Saturday winner. David Downey (71) and Tony Bowers (71) shared 5th place.

Text Box: Deadline…...Deadline…...Deadline…...We had 14 players on the waiting list for last Saturday’s event. We play the best golf courses in the Houston area. The I-Tour confirms the number of golfers on Monday morning. After that the golf course starts selling tee times behind us. Besides that, we had a great day last Saturday. The golf course could not have been in better shape. Here is your Tournament Report!
Text Box: Broughton And Aldape Dominate Saturday ………
Winning the golf tournament is impressive, but to win by 4 shots is shear domination. 6 year I-Tour Members Alfred Broughton and Bernardo Aldape did just that on Saturday. Both posted 5 under par 66’s. Broughton won by scorecard playoff, and enters the winner circle for the first time this year. In a three way tie for 3rd we had Wesley Jones (70), Michael Starghill (70), and Ken Cannon (70). Flight B played from the white tees, about 6,000 yards, which on papers sounds easy. Timber Creek proved to be an incredible challenge. We will definitely be back in 2010.
