Our first event of the season last Sunday at Redstone Tournament Players Course was a success.  A little rain and a 1 hour rain delay could not stop the Individual Golf Tour last Saturday.  Here is your tournament report

 

Duranski One Better On Saturday…….

Mark Duranski proved on Saturday that every shot counts.  Duranski’s two under par 70, earned him a victory at Redstone.  What a great way to start the 2009 season. When asked about his round, Duranski said, “I don’t ever believe I have been that nervous in my whole life.”  I know that feeling.  One shot behind Duranski  was newcomer Cody Doyle (71) and Jonathan Horton (71).  Long time I-Tour member Dan Hudson and Tommy Van both tied for 4th place on Sunday.  Haja Rabe and Josh Martin finished tied for 6th place.  With 46 players in Flight A, to finish in the top 7 was a great accomplishment.  Great rounds guys!

Back To The Future.......
I-Tour veteran Robert Blain (67) captures his first victory since the 2005 season, after blowing away the competition last Saturday at Redstone.  When asked about his round Blain said,” I have been working on my putting, and with greens as pure as Redstone, I felt like I could not miss.”  Two shots behind Blain was newcomer Roland Cantu (69).  Third place belonged to Mr. Fred Lagrasta who posted an very impressive even par 72.  Poe Reed and Eddie Robertson both shared 4th place.

Remember that we play the best courses in the area, and they are in high demand.  I have to provide the golf course with a definite number the Monday before our events.  After Monday they start selling tee times to the general public.  Please mark your calendars and schedules.  See you at Cinco Ranch.
