Text Box: Redstone 2-24-08 Event

Our first event of the season last Sunday at Redstone Tournament Players Course was a success.  We managed to pay out more than $9000, $9070  to be exact.  The weather started out very foggy, but turned out to be perfect, and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Here is your tournament report.

Risinger Builds on his Resume on Sunday

I-Tour veteran Jimmy Risinger playing out of San Antonio, TX captures a stunning victory last weekend at Redstone.  Sitting in the club house Risinger had no idea that his even par 72 would be enough for the win.  When asked what he was going to do with the $1,100 he won Risinger responded,” it’s not about the money, it’s all about the trophy, but I will take the money as well.”   Great round Jimmy.  Coming in second place posting a very impressive 73 was Boe Lowe from Hampshire, TX.  Jerry Gregurek from Willis, TX finished with a solid in 3rd pace posting 75  Houston checks in with Brian Autry (76) tying for 4th place with Gefforey Bezuidenhout (76).  Great rounds guys

Sublett and Hebert Brought Their A Games to Redstone.......
Two I-Tour veterans battle it out at Redstone for bragging rights and a spot in the I-Tour Winners Circle.  Joe Sublett and Trey Hebert both shot a 6 under par 66 on last Sunday at Redstone.  After a scorecard playoff Sublett was pronounced the winner.  Last years winner Ken Cannon was close but ran out of bullets posting  a net 69.  Greg Bowden finished 3rd with a net 70, closely followed by Micahel Settle, Terry Fushack, and Scott Tackett with a set of 72’s.  When asked about his victory Sublett responded,” I feel good, I think this is my year and Flight A better look out at Windrose;  I coming.”   Way to go Joe Sublett.

Registration Deadline.......
Please register by the tournament deadline.  We had over 20 players that wanted to play Sunday's Redstone Event that could not play.  Remember that we play the best courses in the area, and they are in high demand.  I have to provide the golf course with a definite number the Monday before our events.  After Monday they start selling tee times to the general public.  Please mark your calendars and schedules.  See you at Windrose.
