Text Box: Houston National 3-22-08 Event

What gorgeous weather for Easter weekend.  Great weather, great event.

Hector Trevino would have given Lee Trevino a run for his money…

Hector Trevino could have beaten Lee Trevino last Saturday at Houston National.  Hector fired a gross 68 to win the event by one shot over Casey Waller.  His group claimed,” it was impressive to watch, he almost made a bogey, once.”  Guys that sounds impressive.  One Stroke behind Waller was Paul Harris (69), Thomas Woods and Morgan Mohr both posting 2 under par 70’s.  Good job Flight A.

Flight B Responds  well to 7,000 yard challenge ...
Flight B left Saturday's  event with confidence.  The 7,000 yard Houston National was just another day at the office clamed Eddie Robertson.  Newcomer Bob Dockens took advantage of the fast greens and beautiful weather to win Saturday’s event by one shot, posting a net (67).  At the turn Dockens stated,” I’m on fire, this is my day.”  He later reported that the fire started to dwindle down around hole 15, but still managed to beat Trey Hebert by one shot.  Four players tied for third place (71), Bill Burch,  Bill Brown, Nick Thepsouvanh, and Randy Blaylock.  Great Round guys.

2-Day Spring Championship is Quickly Approaching…
