Our second event of the season last Saturday at Windrose Golf Club was a success.    The only way to describe Saturday’s weather is perfect.  Here is your tournament report. 

 

Bartos, Aldape, and Hubbard devour Windrose….
Strong winds, and fast greens were nothing for long time I-tour members Ben Bartos, Bernardo Aldape, and David Hubbard.  All three players shattered the -6 cap, and had to be capped at 66.  After a scorecard playoff, Ben Bartos, member since 2004 picks up his first victory on tour.  Allan Patrick fired an impressive 2 under par 70 to finish second.  Closely followed by H. Singh Grewal.

Walker, Ron Walker wins for the first time on tour last Saturday.  When asked how does it feel to win for the first time Walker said,” It just feels good, Oak Hurst will feel better."  Look out competition Walker want to be the first back to back winner since Haja Rabe did it in July of 2005.  Walker posted a 4 under par 68, and he needed every shot to fight off Scott Key.  Key proves that 1 handicappers can still compete on the I-Tour.  Scott finished second posting a 3 under par 69 at Windrose.  Right behind Key were Ryan Brandt, Victor Huey, and Greg Boyd each with a 1 under par 71.

Please register by the tournament deadline.  Remember that we play the best courses in the area, and they are in high demand.  I have to provide the golf course with a definite number the Monday before our events.  After Monday they start selling tee times to the general public.  Please mark your calendars and schedules.  See you at Oak Hurst.
