Our first event of the season last Sunday at Redstone Tournament Players Course was a success.  We managed to pay out almost $7000, $6917 to be exact.  The weather was perfect, and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Here is your tournament report. 

 

Villadiego performs Villegas like on Sunday

I-Tour veteran Rodney Villadiego puts up a performance that PGA pro Camilo Villegas would be proud of on Sunday at Redstone.  Villadiego, from flight A, racked up 5 birdies in route to his first victory this season.  When asked how he felt about his round of net 67 he said,” I was just lucky."  Modest words from a good golfer.   Brian Miller and new comer Chad Beale finished tied for second, 3 strokes behind our winner.  Right behind those two firing 71's were Rich Robertson and Bow Lowe.  

A Loose Cannon.......
After taking the 2006 season off, Ken Cannon returns to the Individual Golf Tour and captures gold in our first I-Tour Event.  Cannon made all of the right moves Sunday shooting a 2 under par net 70.  He proved that every shot counts, as watched the 4 way tie for second place at 1 under par 71.    Right behind Cannon were several I-Tour veterans Doug Hill, Kody Esser, Dan Burden, and Jack Page.  

Registration Deadline.......
Please register by the tournament deadline.  We had over 20 players that wanted to play Sunday's Redstone Event that could not play.  Remember that we play the best courses in the area, and they are in high demand.  I have to provide the golf course with a definite number the Monday before our events.  After Monday they start selling tee times to the general public.  Please mark your calendars and schedules.  See you at Windrose.
