What a great event.  We got off the golf course just before the rain fell.  Pace of Play was awesome, and course was playing easy.  There is your Tournament Report.

 

Segotta Named King of Greatwood ...
Randy Segotta in his first trip to Greatwood Golf Club since his victory in 2005, proved that he is truly the King of Greatwood.  Segotta shot a net 81 and had to have his score capped by I-Tour rule at 66.  This was clearly enough to win by 2 shots on Saturday. It is this writers true believe that if Segotta would have played Greatwood in 2006 we would have our first 3 time winner.  Maybe it will happen in 08 &09, keep swinging Randy.   David Hubbard finished 2 shots behind Randy with an impressive 68.  Chris Barker returns to the I-Tour and captures 3rd place, followed by Doug Hill,  Eddie Robertson, Billy Byrd, and Dan Burden at 69.

 
Forlenza Makes His Mark ….
Paul Forlenza is now part of the elite I-Tour Winners Circle.  Forlenza could not be denied on Saturday posting a net 68.  After numerous 2nd place and almost victories Forlenza had the right stuff on Saturday.  Reports are that in 2 weeks Paul will be our back to back winner since 2005.   Right behind our winner was Greg Body at 70.  Morgan Mohr and James Baldridge were in the hunt right until the end of the day posting 71’s.  Two weeks to practice, and get ready for $1000 Saturday.  See you there!
