Text Box: 2007 Individual Golf Tour
Text Box: CINCO RANCH 7-30-07 Event

The weather forecast for Saturday’s event at Cinco Ranch was not good.  Meteorologist predicted 60% chance of rain, and that scared some.  We still have 31 brave souls that wanted to play golf no matter what the weather did. It is my belief that the golf gods love the I-Tour and once again, as Houston was getting punished with rain and wind, we had nothing but sunshine for our event.  Here is your tournament report.

T. Woods……………………………...…..

T. Woods.  That’s all I have to say and you can fill in the rest.  You have seen this man on tour for years, hitting 300+ yards drives and sinking long putts.  But for the first time in his career (Thomas) T.  Woods entered the Winners Circle on Saturday.  Cinco Ranch provided some of the hardest finishing holes on tour, but not hard enough.  Woods (69) held off Kevin Edmonson (70) and Scott Holt (71),  to capture the victory.

Flight B comes down to the death ...
That’s right Flight B came down to sudden death on Saturday.  Our new rule about first place ties is:  split the first and second place money and scorecard playoff for the trophy.  But on Saturday Terry Fushack and Allan Patrick both agreed to a sudden death playoff.  And here is how it played out.   Fushack’s tee shot leaked a little to the right leaving him behind a tree.  Patrick crushed his tee shot down the left side of the fairway leaving him 75 yards to the pin.  After a punch out, Fushack hit his 3rd shot right at the flag, but due to the beaming sun the green did not hold leaving him a 12 foot put for par.  That did not bother Allan Patrick as he put his shot 7 feet from the flag.  Fushack’s putt burned the edge of the hole.  Two putts later Allan Patrick won the sudden death playoff.  Behind our leaders were Rick Castro and Kevin Gentry, Welcome to flight A guys.
